Dr. Debra Archuleta is a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist who is trained in interventions and treatments for coping with and managing newly diagnosed and chronic medical conditions (i.e., transplant candidates and recipients, sleep problems, weight management, diabetes, burn injuries, and traumatic amputations). She also is certified in geropsychology (i.e., treatment and care of older adults). She has an extensive background in psychological assessment for diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations for mental health, transplant candidates, VA disability, and bariatric evaluations. She has experience and training in providing evidence based treatments for post-traumatic stress, anxiety, and sleep disorders.

Dr. Archuleta completed a two-year fellowship in clinical health psychology at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) and the United States Army Institute for Surgical Research in 2009. She spent the majority of her career working as a civilian psychologist with the United States Army following the completion of her fellowship. She also has experience working at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital. She is passionate about working in the service of military, veterans, and their families.
